Imagine using iBooks author to deliver multimedia content to students. Music can deliver songs with background information, art can deliver artist bio's with sample artwork and project assignments.
Or even using it to create a book that incorperates science and social studies content and you can build in the reading skill you want to focus on because lets face it... How else are we going to get the books to his multiple standards across subjects and still be on grade level. You can even build in words that hit your phonics concept and sight words that you are focusing on!
Have the students write biographies of people and then compile them all as a class book. You could have kids work in groups to type the information to review what they have learned and you compile as a class review book.
